YESHIVAS YAM HATALMUD is a Mesivta located near North Miami Beach, FL. The Yeshiva is established for motivated bochurim seeking an advanced level program in Limudei Kodesh. The goal of the Yeshiva is to allow the bochurim to spend their high school years close to home, in an atmosphere of high-level learning with like-minded Bnei Torah, enabling them to seamlessly integrate into the finest Yeshivos throughout the country and beyond. Our choshuve dedicated Rabbeim and Hanhala place a special emphasis on Gemara havana as well as Mussar, Hashkafa and middos tovos. In addition, the Yeshiva provides a high-quality general studies education recognized by the State of Florida. We are looking to maximize our Talmidim’s years at the Yeshiva while ensuring that their physical, spiritual and emotional needs are met.

  • RABBI ZELIG PRIVALSKY

    ROSH YESHIVA

    Rabbi Zelig Privalsky is a Brooklyn native and close talmid of Rav Shmuel Berenbaum ZT”L. Rabbi Privalsky studied in the great Yeshivos of Mir (Brooklyn), Ponevezh, and Brisk. After returning to the United States, he continued learning for the next five years in Beth Medrash Govoha of Lakewood, NJ, before being recruited to the North Miami Beach Kollel where he learned for several years. He was subsequently asked to join the Hanhala of the Kollel being appointed as the Kollel’s Director of Development, where he continued to foster relationships and impact all those around him. Rabbi Privalsky as he has done for more than a decade continues to deliver a popular and engaging daily Gemara Shiur to members of the North Miami Beach community, finishing many masechtos of Shas b’iyun. Before opening the Yeshiva, Rabbi Privalsky worked with and taught Mesivta age bochurim for almost ten years at Yeshiva Toras Chaim, becoming a trusted “confidant” and advisor of bochurim throughout South Florida. His ability to serve the South Florida Community, while at the same time developing intimate, close relationships with those he teaches and guides, has helped Rabbi Privalsky lead the Yeshiva and its talmidim. Rabbi Privalsky looks forward to continuing the Yeshiva’s growth and its burgeoning impact on the expansion of Torah throughout the entire South Florida community.

  • RABBI MOSHE DOVID PRICE

    NINTH GRADE REBBI

    Rabbi Moshe Dovid Price, originally from Brooklyn, NY, studied as a bachur in Yeshivas Chaim Berlin, where he concentrated his studies not only on in-depth learning of Sugyos in Gemara, but also on uncovering the deeper dimensions of Chumash and Aggadata. He subsequently became a talmid in the Beis Medresh of Yeshiva Tiferes Elimelech, where he developed a close relationship with the Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Moshe Feigelstock, zt”l. Later, Rabbi Price studied in the Yeshiva of South Fallsburg, NY, where he was greatly influenced by the shiurim of the Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Elya Ber Wachtfogel Shlit”a. Rabbi Price continued on to learn in Eretz Yisrael, in Yeshivas Mir Yerushalayim and Yeshivas Brisk, prior to returning to the United States. Rabbi Price spent three years learning at Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood, NJ, before joining Kollel Zichron Michel in North Miami Beach where he learned for 8 years. During that time Rabbi Price was a high school Bekius Rebbi in Yeshiva Toras Chaim for several years. Yeshivas Yam HaTalmud is excited to have Rabbi Price as our ninth grade Rebbi. Rabbi Price’s engrossing and infectious personality has taken our talmidim’s learning to the next level, engaging the boys on a daily basis in lively, interactive discussions at the highest level of learning. Rabbi Price challenges each talmid to reach beyond his own perceived limitations and extracts every ounce of potential out of each talmid.

  • RABBI YEHUDA HOBERMAN

    TENTH GRADE REBBI

    Rabbi Yehuda Hoberman has joined us as our 10th grade Maggid Shiur. Rabbi Hoberman began his learning in the Long Beach Yeshiva under his father, Rav Chaim Yehoshua Hoberman. He then went to Eretz Yisroel to learn in Yeshivas Brisk and spent the subsequent five years learning in Lakewood at BMG. He joined the North Miami Beach Kollel three years ago. Since joining Yeshivas Yam HaTalmud, Rabbi Hoberman has elevated our 10th graders in terms of both Hasmada and Havanah. With his quick grasp and very clear way of explaining, he helps each boy understand the learning and gives them the tools to begin learning on their own. His יראת שמים and אהבת התורה are supreme examples for our bochurim to see. We are privileged to have Rabbi Hoberman on our staff.

  • RABBI TZVI ULLMAN

    MASHGIACH & SECOND SEDER REBBI

    Rabbi Tzvi Ullman, originally from Monsey, NY, began his formative learning in Yeshiva Talmidei Telshe in Riverdale under the leadership of Rabbi Avraham Ausband ZT”L , with whom he formed a strong connection. Rabbi Ullman continued his learning for the next four years in Eretz Yisrael in Yeshivas Brisk of Rav Avraham Yehoshua Soleveitchik After returning to the United States, Rabbi Ullman joined a Kollel in Manalapan, NJ, where he lived and learned for three years. Rabbi Ullman then joined Kollel Zichron Michel of North Miami Beach where he continued to learn for the next six years. Because of his undeniable ability to relate to all around him, and his incredible skill in connecting with the boys in the community, Yeshivas Yam Hatalmud is privileged to have Rabbi Ullman serve as our Mashgiach. In this position, he has successfully provided our talmidim with support and guidance to help them through this important time in their lives. Rabbi Ullman recognizes the challenges that bachurim face on a daily basis and is an irreplaceable member of our Hanhala. In addition to his duties as Mashgiach, Rabbi Ullman also serves as the Yeshiva’s Second Seder Rebbi which gives the bachurim an opportunity to hear his shiur and connect to him through Torah learning on a daily basis.

  • RABBI SHMUEL SOROKA

    NIGHT SEDER REBBI

    Rabbi Shmuel Soroka, a Brooklyn native, began his learning at Yeshiva Gedolah of Springfield, where he learned and thrived under the personal guidance of Reb Elya Meir Sorotzkin, ZT’L. He was deeply influenced by his Rebbi’s fiery spirit, palpable ahavas hatorah and his unparalleled ameilus batorah. Rabbi Soroka continued his learning in Eretz Yisroel at Yeshivas Brisk and then returned to the United States where he spent several years learning at Beth Medresh Govoha. He then returned to Eretz Yisroel to learn in the Brisker Kollel. It was during this time that he also attended a program of the Vaad Hachizuk L’Bnei Hayeshivos in order for him to successfully guide and provide mentorship to young bochurim navigating the challenges of today’s world. Rabbi Soroka moved to North Miami Beach five years ago to join the North Miami Beach Kollel. At Yeshivas Yam HaTalmud, Rabbi Soroka serves as our night seder Rebbi, delivering nightly shiurim and shmuesim. Our Talmidim look forward to ending each day with Rabbi Soroka’s fiery spirit and energized shiur.
